INTRODUCTION:
Kaqun water contains a high level of stable oxygen which, when absorbed through the skin or intestinal tract, increases tissue oxygenation.
PURPOSE:
The authors’ aim was to evaluate the effects of 21 days of Kaqun water treatments on the immune parameters of healthy volunteers.
METHOD:
Subpopulation of lymphocytes were determined through immunological phenotype and activation of CD25 and CD71 antigens were used to assess lymphocyte activation. The production of reactive oxygen intermediates was measured to determine the destructive potential of neutrophil granulocytes. Data were analyzed with repeated ANOVA measures.
RESULTS:
The production of reactive oxygen intermediates significantly increased in the samples subjected to the treatment with Kaqun water during the three weeks. The percentage of activated, CD25 positive T-cell adjutants and the ratio of NK cells was increased.
CONCLUSIONS:
The increase in oxygen concentration caused by Kaqun water treatments affects very many immune functions: the destructive potential of neutrophil granulocytes was increased, lymphocyte activation shows increased immune activity, and the high ratio of NK cells can help fight viral infections and cancer cells.
How is Kaqun Water produced?
